Headed to explore London!

Hi, family and friends! We arrived in London at Heathrow airport bright and early at 9 AM on May 21st. Despite feeling restless from the time-change and a busy travel day, a group of us decided that we must take advantage of the historical city of London while we had the chance. After getting our bearings, we headed on the tube towards Piccadilly Circus. Getting off the tube, we walked around a bit, hoping to find where the tour buses began, there we saw Chinatown and the theater district.

There we hopped on the famous double-decker red buses and partook in a two hour tour around London and Westminster. Though rainy the beautiful landscapes and architecture of the city had us in awe. After our roaming, we headed back to the airport to make sure we made our connecting flight to Cape Town, South Africa.

We all slept through the 11 hour flight to South Africa, but made sure to wake up and see the mountains and beautiful waters on our descent into Cape Town.

After settling into our hotels and getting groceries we rushed over to Signal Hill to see our first South African sunset as well as get a glimpse of the city at night.

From there we took part in a traditional Pan-African tasting course dinner and show. The Autumn African Taste Safari was a mix of individual portions and sharing portions from a variety of countries in Africa. Along with that we saw three performances and even got to get on stage and dance with the performance ourselves! Ultimately, the first night was a success.
